By Michelle McCourt

Great Place to Work and Fortune have named 15Five as one of the 2020 Best Workplaces in Technology. To determine the list, Great Place to Work® analyzed confidential survey feedback representing nearly 300,000 employees working in the tech industry in the US. Great Place to Work, a global people analytics and consulting firm, evaluated more than 60 elements of team members’ experiences on the job. These included the extent to which employees trust leaders, the respect with which people are treated, the fairness of workplace decisions, and how much camaraderie there is among the team. Rankings are based on employees’ feedback and reward companies who best include all employees, no matter who they are or what they do for the organization. 15Five secured the #5 spot on the list.

“15Five is absolutely thrilled to be recognized as one of the best places to work in technology by our people for creating a world-class workplace culture,” says 15Five co-founder and Chief Culture Officer Shane Metcalf. “Since receiving the award, we have begun rolling out employee resource groups that aim to support all employees across all levels.”

“The companies appearing on this year’s list of the Best Workplaces in Technology are doing the work to improve equality for every employee,” said Great Place to Work CEO Michael C. Bush. “They have created cultures of fairness and inclusion in an industry that is still grappling with representation across gender, race, ethnicity, and sexual orientation. While not at the tipping point, they are the leaders that are creating a more equitable path forward.”

The Best Workplaces in Technology is one of a series of rankings by Great Place to Work and Fortune based on employee feedback from Great Place to Work-Certified™ organizations. 15Five also was ranked as a Best Workplace in the Bay Area by Great Place to Work and Fortune.
