| Lough Key is located just south of Sligo between Boyle and Castlebaldwin in the Lough Key Forest Park. We went to Lough key to canoe across the lough to an island with a castle on it for a lunch picnic. We then continued to canoe around Lough key to another island with old abbey ruins on it. This was really an awesome experience, having lunch all alone in the courtyard of castle ruins on an island in the middle of a lough in Ireland. Think about that for a how sweet that is for a minute. | |||||
